Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer, you support high-tech coating systems directly at customer sites in the US. You ensure high availability and top performance while delivering hands-on technical expertise. A role offering cutting-edge technology, responsibility and international collaboration.

What you will be doing

  • check Perform installations and maintenance: you install, maintain and retrofit Evatec coating systems at customer sites in Hillsboro, Oregon
  • check Troubleshoot issues: you diagnose failures, carry out repairs and ensure system uptime
  • check Monitor performance: you track machine performance, create reports and propose optimisations
  • check Support customers: you provide technical advice, answer questions professionally and act as the interface to Evatec
  • check Collaborate effectively: you work closely with technical support, field and customer engineers and escalate issues when required

What you should bring

  • check Technical background: you hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
  • check Thin film expertise: you have at least 3 years of experience with vacuum coating equipment (e.g. PVD, PECVD, PEALD or Etch)
  • check Strong technical skills: you are familiar with mechanics, robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics and vacuum processes
  • check Analytical mindset: you approach problems systematically and deliver practical solutions
  • check Language skills: you are fluent in English; German and/or Spanish are a plusMinimum of 3 years of experience servicing Evatec equipment, and as much as possible with CLUSTERLINE® 200 generations
