Job Description
As a Scientist in Thin Film Technology (PE-CVD / PE-ALD), you will develop innovative processes and systems for the next generation of semiconductor technologies. You combine scientific expertise with creative ideas and help Evatec maintain its position as a technology leader.
What you will be doing
- check Drive innovation: develop new thin film deposition systems and processes with a focus on (PE)CVD and (PE)ALD technologies
- check Shape concepts: create design proposals for the next generation of semiconductor thin film systems
- check Simulation & analysis: perform calculations and simulations for fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, plasma and film properties
- check Experiment & optimize: plan and conduct experiments to improve hardware and processes
- check Share knowledge: support our teams as a scientific expert, generate IP, publish articles and represent Evatec at conferences and customer visits
What you should bring
- check Solid education: you hold a technical university degree (Master or PhD) in Physics, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or a related field
- check Hands-on experience: you bring at least 2 years of professional experience in vacuum and thin film technology, ideally with PECVD/PEALD for semiconductor applications
- check Proven track record: you have minimum 2 years of practical experience working with root-cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for process variation
- check Knowledge: you possess good knowledge of nanotechnology and measurement techniques
- check Tech-savvy: you possess profound know-how in programming and simulations
- check Languages: you communicate fluently in English (German is an advantage)
- check Analytical mindset: you have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions
- check Team player: you combine creativity, perseverance and collaboration skills
