Job Description
As Sales Manager Photonics & WLO PVD Equipment, you lead the commercial development of optical thin‑film solutions in China. You leverage your optical and PVD technical expertise to support AR/VR, LiDAR and sensing applications. You help drive Evatec’s growth in Photonics and wafer‑level optics.
What you will be doing
- Drive the sales strategy: you define and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed booking, billing and revenue targets
- Develop customer relationships: you build strong relationships with technical, procurement and executive stakeholders and expand key accounts strategically
- Sell technical solutions: you apply your knowledge of PVD systems, Silicon Photonics, VCSEL/MicroLED ecosystems and mobile sensing supply chains (including DOE/Diffractive Optical Elements) to explain complex concepts and develop tailored solutions
- Analyse markets & competitors: you monitor technology trends, applications and competitive activities and translate insights into accurate forecasts and strategic recommendations
- Collaborate cross-functionally: you work closely with Engineering, R&D and Product Marketing to align customer needs with product roadmaps
What you should bring
- Technical background: you hold a Master’s degree or higher in Optics, Physics, Materials Science or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in high‑tech sales: you have 2+ years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment sales, ideally including PVD (sputtering/evaporation) or thin‑film metrology
- Optics & thin‑film expertise: you understand optical thin‑film properties, vacuum technology, sputtering processes and refractive index/interference control
- Strong commercial skills: you have strong negotiation, communication and closing skills paired with a hunter mindset
- Language skills: you are fluent in English and Mandarin
