Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer, you support our thin film coating systems at customer sites across Europe. You combine technical expertise with customer interaction, troubleshoot complex issues and help ensure reliable and high-performing system operation.

What you will be doing

  • check Install equipment: you perform installation, commissioning and upgrade activities for Evatec coating systems at customer sites
  • check Resolve technical issues: you diagnose faults, perform troubleshooting and carry out repairs on our systems
  • check Monitor performance: you track system performance, document results and support optimisation activities
  • check Support customers: you provide technical guidance, deliver customer training and assist during system operation
  • check Act as an interface: you coordinate between customers and internal teams and work throughout Europe

What you should bring

  • check Technical background: you have completed vocational training in electrical engineering or a related electrical field
  • check Independent mindset: you take ownership, show initiative and approach problems analytically
  • check Communication skills: you can effectively communicate technical topics with customers and internal stakeholders
  • check Language skills: you have good German and English communication skills. Additional languages are a plus
  • check Travel readiness: you enjoy travelling, hold a valid category B driving licence and ideally have experience in vacuum or thin film technology
