Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer at Evatec, you design and develop mechanical systems and components, conduct simulations and analyses, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You troubleshoot technical issues, ensure optimal performance, and prepare detailed documentation to support project progress and integration.

What you will be doing

  • check Designing complex assemblies considering feasibility, reliability, ease of assembly and service, as well as cost-benefit ratio
  • check Participating in the development of new coating systems and their subsystems
  • check Developing feasibility studies and creating solution variants, including presentations
  • check Product support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our systems/components in collaboration with product and platform management
  • check Data updating and maintenance in the ERP system
  • check Calculations using FEM (strength, heat, flow)
  • check Standard-compliant design according to required standards such as safety, CE, UL, Semi
  • check Working in interdisciplinary teams
  • check Conducting or participating in design reviews and FMEA
  • check Point of contact for assembly and manufacturing as well as for the service and spare parts department
  • check Diverse tasks as a vocational trainer

What you should bring

  • check Completed technical training in mechanical engineering, ideally a technical university degree
  • check Several years of design experience is an advantage
  • check Ideally, knowledge of vacuum technology
  • check Good CAD skills required, Inventor preferred
  • check Experience as a vocational trainer desired
  • check Fluent in German and English
  • check Team spirit, creativity, resilience, and communication skills
