Job Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you develop the next generation of thin-film coating systems, run simulations and collaborate in interdisciplinary teams to create innovative solutions for (PE)CVD and (PE)ALD technologies.

What you will be doing

  • check Drive innovation: you support the technology development team in creating new thin-film coating systems, system components and process solutions with a focus on (PE)CVD and (PE)ALD
  • check Design solutions: you develop and design the next generation of coating systems – from concept to market-ready product – considering feasibility, reliability and cost-benefit ratio
  • check Run simulations: you perform calculations and simulations in areas such as structural mechanics, fluid dynamics and thermodynamics
  • check Ensure quality: you create compliant designs according to safety and industry standards (CE, UL, SEMI) and lead design reviews as well as FMEA
  • check Live teamwork: you collaborate in interdisciplinary teams, evaluate suppliers and act as a contact point for assembly, production and purchasing

What you should bring

  • check Bring qualifications: you hold a technical degree (Bachelor/Master) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering or a related field (HTL, FH, ETH)
  • check Apply expertise: you have several years of experience in vacuum and thin-film technology, ideally with (PE)CVD and/or (PE)ALD systems for semiconductor applications
  • check Master the tools: you are proficient in CAD tools (Inventor preferred), ERP systems and MS Office
  • check Show personality: you are creative, solution-oriented, communicative and resilient and work independently as well as proactively
  • check Speak languages: you are fluent in English (spoken and written), German is an advantage
