Job Description

As a Category Manager for OEM components, you negotiate with foresight and ensure optimal conditions for electronic and mechanical OEM parts. You strategically manage your categories, further develop supplier relationships and contribute fresh ideas for leaner procurement processes and strong benchmarks.

What you will be doing

  • check Negotiate with foresight: you lead price and contract negotiations for complex electromechanical assemblies and OEM components and achieve optimal conditions
  • check Strategically manage product groups: you develop and implement category strategies aligned with our company goals with a focus on OEM suppliers
  • check Optimise costs and processes: you drive cost reduction initiatives, evaluate offers and continuously improve our procurement and inventory costs
  • check Manage suppliers holistically: you build a strategic OEM supplier pool, conduct regular business reviews and ensure long-term supply security
  • check Know your market: you monitor relevant developments in the OEM landscape and support internal teams with your expertise in strategic decisions

What you should bring

  • check Experience in technical procurement: you have at least 3 years of international sourcing experience, ideally in plant engineering or with OEM components
  • check Solid education: you hold a commercial or technical qualification and further education in procurement
  • check IT-skills: you work confidently with MS Office and ERP systems – SAP experience is a plus
  • check Strong communication: you communicate fluently in both German and English
  • check Ready to travel: you're flexible and open to occasional business trips (approx. 10–15%)
