Job Description

As a Category Manager for technical components, you negotiate with foresight and secure the best possible conditions for electronic and mechanical parts. You steer commodity strategies, build strong supplier relationships and bring fresh ideas to streamline processes and set real benchmarks.

What you will be doing

  • check Running tenders and negotiations: you lead price and contract negotiations for complex electromechanical assemblies and components, always aiming for the best possible conditions
  • check Strategically managing categories: you develop and implement category strategies aligned with our company goals
  • check Optimising costs and processes: you drive cost reduction initiatives, evaluate supplier offers and continuously improve procurement and inventory costs
  • check Managing suppliers holistically: you build a strategic supplier pool, conduct regular business reviews and ensure long-term supply security
  • check Knowing the procurement market: you keep an eye on market developments and know where to find not just the cheapest, but the best suppliers

What you should bring

  • check Experience in technical procurement: you have at least 3 years of international sourcing experience, ideally in equipment manufacturing
  • check Solid educational background: you’ve completed a commercial or technical education and further training in procurement
  • check IT skills: you're confident using MS Office and ERP systems, SAP experience is a plus
  • check Strong communication: you communicate fluently in both German and English
  • check Willingness to travel: you're flexible and open to occasional business trips (approx. 10–15%)
