For our Business Unit Advanced Packaging at our Swiss headquarters we are looking for a

Program Manager

Evatec is a Swiss company with offices in the US, Europe and Asia that specialises in the development, production and sale of high-tech thin film deposition equipment for the semiconductor, optical and optoelectronics markets. From the high brightness LEDs in our cars to the sensors and filters in our mobile phones our know how enables the world’s leading manufacturers to deliver solutions for autonomous driving, smart wearables and hand helds and high performance 5G mobile networks.

Your main tasks

  • Responsibility for planning and monitoring the Business Unit’s program portfolio with strong attention to the Business Unit strategy and its implementation
  • Daily program management throughout the program life cycle (initiation, planning, execution, field roll-out)
  • Managing budgets and reporting on fund allocation
  • Managing risks, including developing a robust risk mitigation plan and taking corrective measurements
  • Responsibility for managing and utilizing resources across projects as well as program documentations (e.g. program initiation document, Canvas)
  • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement
  • Ensuring relevant standards, internal processes and regulations are followed
  • Managing stakeholders’ communication including (pro)active feedback and reporting

Your profile

  • Technical university degree in engineering or related subjects e.g. Physics, microsystem technology
  • Additional business education (i.e. MBA) is an added value
  • Min. 4 years of experience in project and/or program management in a technology driven capital equipment company
  • Good understanding of the wider objectives of the individual program
  • Ability to work positively with the wide range of stakeholders involved in program management
  • Strong leadership and management skills, experience to work in matrix organizations
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures and the ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
  • Fluent in German and English, additional language skills are an asset
  • Willingness and availability for international travel
