For our Process Engineering Team within our Business Unit Advanced Packaging we are looking for a

Process Engineer

From the high brightness LEDs in our cars to the sensors and filters in our mobile phones our know how enables the world’s leading manufacturers to deliver solutions for autonomous driving, smart wearables and hand helds and high performance 5G mobile networks.


Your main tasks:

  • Optimize existing processes or develop new processes for the deposition of thin functional layers to meet todays and future customer requirements
  • Hands-on experimental work in collaboration with other scientists, engineers and technicians for the testing and qualification of processes and hardware
  • Development of processes by DOE, test runs, measurements and data analysis
  • Contribution to the definition of system concepts and component changes for the development of new and the optimization of existing applications, to develop new applications or to improve the performance of the deposition tools in general
  • Comprehensive and transparent documentation of base processes and process results
  • Self-responsible execution of customer samplings and support of customer specific applications
  • Support of the business unit in the transfer of new processes to the customer
  • Provision of expert know-how to Application Engineers, customers and partners
  • Screening of literature and IP


Your profile:

  • Technical university degree (ideal: Master’s degree in engineering, physics, material science or equivalent)
  • In-depth knowledge of vacuum and thin film technology (PVD) and etching (RF, ICP, CCP) as well as semiconductor technology are an advantage
  • Strong communication skills
  • Creative problem solving with organizational skills and structured way of working, hands-on mentality
  • Strong intuition for technology
  • Very good English skills
  • Good German skills are of advantage
  • Willingness to travel worldwide (10-20%)
